XVD is an entirely new compression technology known for its high quality and high compressibility exceeding MPEG's. XVD can reduce data size to a fraction of a corresponding MPEG-2 file while maintaining its image quality.

  The chip embedded in this product is capable of recording video in real time using the compact XVD format. Of course, conversion from an MPEG file to the XDV format can also be processed at high speed.
